Dr. Lawrence Wallack Keynote: Framing Issues Using America's Second Language: Community, Prevention, and Social Justice Workshop: Talking to the Media: Avoiding Pitfalls, Advancing Policy Lawrence Wallack is Dean of the College of Urban and Public Affairs Portland State University. He is also Emeritus Professor of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Wallack has appeared on Nightline, Good Morning America the CBS Evening News the Today Show, CNN, Oprah and numerous local news and public affairs programs. He has provided consultation to local, state, national, and international organizations on issues related to public health, social change, and mass media. Dr. Wallack has been honored with several awards. He was one of the original recipients of the Innovators Award (2000-05) from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. |
