Mary Murray Workshop: Focus on Prevention: Best Practices and Lessons Learned on Addressing Violence Before It Occurs Mary Murray, M.A. has dedicated her vocation to creating brighter futures for children, families and communities by strengthening the organizations that serve them. As founder of MEMconsultants, Mary has consulted with over fifty mission-based organizations that focus on: the prevention of youth violence prevention, intimate partner violence, child and elder abuse; youth asset development and youth leadership; social and emotional learning; effective out of school time programming; and effective coalitions, networks and collaborations. Previously, she served as a director at the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority, where created and managed systems of capacity-building to over five hundred grantees, including school districts, law enforcement agencies and community-based agencies working to prevent violence. |
