Keynote panel presentation: Domestic Violence in Later Life

Rachel Ramirez is the Training Coordinator at the Ohio Domestic Violence Network. In her position at ODVN she regularly trains advocates and allies. She presents Domestic Violence Advocacy Fundamentals, Domestic Violence in Later Life, Justice System Advocacy, and Super Trainer: Training Like a Pro. Rachel’s domestic violence background includes bilingual shelter advocacy, family case management, program coordination, and an internship with the Ohio Department of Health on domestic violence, sexual assault and mental health. Fluent in Spanish, Rachel’s practice, research, and experience has included a focus on family violence in Latino communities. She has her MA in Latin American Studies from The University of South Florida and her MSW from The Ohio State University, and is a licensed social worker.
