Keynote panel presentation: Working for Equity and Justice: How Can Lessons on
Disproportionality and Over-Representation Guide Our Partnerships for Prevention?
Susan Kelly has had many years of experience working with Domestic Violence and Child Welfare Collaborations. She was an advisor for the “Green Book” , worked with the Family Violence Prevention Fund on DV child welfare curricula for child welfare staff, and was appointed by Federal Judge Jack Weinstein to serve on the Nicholson Review Committee for the successful lawsuit brought by battered women against the New York City child welfare administration. Since 2004 Susan has been involved in efforts to address and enhance race equity in child welfare and reduce racial and ethnic disparities that disadvantage children and families of color. Susan currently works for Casey Family Programs which has as its goal to improve and eventually eliminate the need for foster care. |
