Yvonne Hunnicutt Keynote panel presentation: Raising Your Voice: Public Policy Advocacy Yvonne C. Hunnicutt serves as the Director of Operations and Policy Associate for Voices for Ohio’s Children, a non-partisan voice of Ohio’s nearly three million children. With more than 100 collaborative partners, Voices advance changes in public policy that improve the health, safety, education, family stability and childcare of all Ohio children and their families. In this capacity, Ms. Hunnicutt works with partners in the areas of juvenile justice and youth development to raise awareness and expand services on behalf of young people. She also coordinates financial, administrative and human resource functions for Voices. As a former Parent Involvement Coordinator for Head Start she mobilized training and advocacy efforts on behalf of more than 2,000 children and their families. Ms. Hunnicutt is a recent graduate of the Class of 2009 Bridge Builders leadership program and serves on the Board of the Ohio Justice Alliance Community Corrections (OJACC). She is a member of the Juvenile Justice Coalition (JJC), Project Timothy, Inc., Cuyahoga County Young Democrats and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and was recently appointed to the Governor’s Taskforce on Juvenile Justice. Ms. Hunnicutt is a graduate of Wilberforce University and resides in South Euclid, OH with her 16 years-old son, Christopher. |
