Public Health Model of Prevention and People with Disabilities

Participants in this workshop will receive information that parallels the first two steps of the Public Health Model of Prevention: defining the issue of violence in the lives of people with disabilities; and identifying and understanding its risks and protective factors. Facilitator will address topics such as incidence, severity, dynamics and effects of violence, victims/survivors with disabilities, perpetrators, tactics and environment risk and protective factors, among other possible factors.
